Re:AVGO

Over the last couple of weeks of reading analyst report after analyst report in an attempt to see where I invest in 2022, AVGO was one of the companies that rated out as one of Next Man Up Candidates from a position of strength.

From a valuation point of view AVGO seems expensive with a PEG value of 2.96x, above the Semiconductors & Semiconductor Equipment industry median PEG of 2.05x, which is supported by a PE of 43.60x that is also above the industry median of 30.33x.

However I prefer to put things in perspective and try to judge whether future earnings supports the current valuation.

Jefferson Research says that AVGO rates out as STRONGEST for Earnings Quality, Cash Flow Quality and Balance Sheet. They give a STRONG Rating for Operating Efficiency and when all this is combined it rates Low Risk on valuation and JR issues a Buy rating.

A Buy rating is supported by Argus Research and The Street. Credit Suisse gives it an OUTPERFORM rating and CFRA gives it a STRONG BUY rating. Following the last earnings report AVGO has had 31 upside revisions and none to the downside.

Talk about strength!

Dividend Safety - A+ The company's ability to continue current dividend amount.

Dividend Growth - A The attractiveness of the dividend growth rate when compared to peers.

Dividend Yield - The attractiveness of the dividend yield compared to peers.

.
Dividend Consistency - B- The company's track record for paying consistent dividends.
