I might have bought BAY.TO, but find that it's getting harder to trade Canadian stocks online using Quick and Reilly. If I already own a position it's OK, but to establish one I have to talk to someone who sometimes doesn't understand the difference between Canadian dollars and US dollars. Maybe I just need a different broker. Q&R is in the process of trying to change from an efficient no-frills discount broker to a money-managing, advice-giving firm. Maybe after a few successful lawsuits against Merrill, etc., they will reverse course.
