Where's that left-wing liberal American Spirit so we can hear his comments ?

I asked the valid question last week essentially what has changed within the last 1-2 weeks to improve the economic outlook where we should all become "investors" again. Well, here's a clue. The economy is actually in WORSE shape than first thought.

Cisco Systems (CSCO) 17.22 -0.76: -- Update -- Cisco also taking massive charges; $2.5 bln inventory writedown; $300-400 mln related to 8,500 layoffs; $300-500 mln excess facilities; $200-300 mln asset impairment. Cisco also notes that weakness is now being seen in Asia and Europe, as well as the US.

The last statement is what the market will focus on, IMO. Not the time to become an "investor".
