If you're not a hacker, buy an integrated vertical market type of product. Something packaged elsewhere, maybe. Cause this can be a real pain in the butt.

Or, here's a thought. Get NT, on a dual processor Compaq with two monitors and somebody's splitter video board and drivers, like that matrox somebody posted about. Really it's just one display, in many ways, and it solves some problems. Put a couple open windows on one monitor, and a couple windows on the other (say, 19" monitors so you have plenty of space.) You can spread the horsepower and the screen space. NT will multitask better, and keep your old DOS and Win3.1 programs in their own spaces too, so they don't crash you when they interact.

Or, get one of the new expensive wide screen (1x2 ratio hidef) displays. Just line up three or 4 windows full-size side by side.

One keyboard, one video board, lots of screen space, 2 or 4 processors.

Just an idea, tell us if it fits.
