OK - I have a 1954 Cadillac with 325,000 miles on it, never had the heads pulled. It was my grandfather's car, he changed oil every 3000 miles. He drove like a bat out of hell even in his 80's so it's not like the car was run easy. When he died it sat in his garage for the most part because grandma didn't like to drive. I inherited it when she passed on at age 94. It burns a little oil, maybe a quart every 1000 miles, but aside from that seems to be fine. Original hydramatic too...
