steve, my Netscape Navigator V3 used to crash frequently. I now have the latest V4.06 and it is more sturdy. Someone told me some of the
crashes caused by Java (like the ads appearing on GeoCities sites)
can be prevented by disabling "style sheets". I can't vouch for this,
but it is easily tried by selecting EDIT|PREFERENCES|ADVANCED.
