Clinton pushed for some legislation (nafta comes to mind) that seemed like the right idea at the time and now has unintended consequences. Nafta was for trade between the North American nations such as between the US, Canada and Mexico. When you say "unintended consequences" do you mean the flight of jobs to India and China is a result of Nafta? If not, then what unintended consequences did Nafta have. I see that illegal immigrants continue to come to the US from Mexico and Bush wants to legalize them. So I do not see the flight of any jobs to Mexico either.
