Albert, re: "did not mean to ask for the credit and the glory :-)) but rather remind bmw that he attacked me for stating the facts. It rather takes something out of discussions when something like that happens"

I agree that calling someone a liar is not constructive to the communication - well, unless it is clearly correct. <g>

I didn't listen to the Intel CC yet. Did Barrett and/or Intel really call this quarter's performance twice the profit of last quarter? While true on a GAAP basis, the pro-forma is a much better presentation of Intel's current operations, IMO.

I have been distracted and not really caught the tone of the earnings release. It certainly didn't seem to highlight any return to growth and the stock was solidly up in after-hours? Could just be after-hours or that the overall results were greater than expectations. The summaries posted by others here the CC and release did note many solid accomplishments but no clear indications that the economy is recovering? The results were pretty close to the contest entries, particularly the sole brief member of Team Intel (wbmw).

It will be interesting to see how the market digests the releases for the past quarter. Always amusing as I consider the long-term much more than who sneezed. <g>
