I wonder how much Microsoft has to do with that. I mean, is it really even a Microsoft feature?

1. The board makers have to provide hardware that will do it.

2. The board makers have to create the drivers to do that.

3. They already did that (1 & 2).

You do have to have the capability of a non-rectangular clipping region, but I believe that is also already true (if you know how.)

So isn't this announcement 1/2 old news, 1/2 claiming somebody else's work as your own? If MSFT is actually doing something here besides shaking on the holy water, tell me. Enquiring minds want to know.
