Hey Stockchick,

It's the wrong time to be shorting CPQ from a technical standpoint so no need to take desperate measures by running your mouth on this thread. CPQ has made large aquisitions in the past with little or no integration problems. Much due diligence was performed on this one so you might get caught with your panties down!

As per the article, Stockgirl:
Why do you think HP so feverishly bad-mouths this merger if CPQ is just going to self-destruct? Why does this article mention the possibility that DELL will be adversely affected by the merger? Or did you not read that far?

1) HP has been losing marketshare like it's their job and hate CPQ as much as you hate CPQ's technical breakout!
2) DELL will be effectively taken out of the high-end server market where all the "high" margins exist. CPQ will become the next generation full-service computer company, REPLACING IBM by the year 2000.
