Been a bad day on WS today. CSCO down to 46...and diving. I knew I should have sold at 52 when I had the chance...but noooooo, I had to try for 52.5. Oh well, should I add to my position? Naa...let some other poor fool catch the falling knife this time. I value the 2 1/2 fingers I have at this point. As for COMS...who gives a hoot. They suck wind. Price drops are going to hit thier NIC margins hard (which account for a very substantial amount of sales), and CSCO/BAY are offering great deals on 100BaseNX switchs. Not much left for COMS but table scraps. Intel is getting a big piece of the NIC pie, all the while they are gearing up for gigabit Ethernet. Is COMS ready for this push? I bet INTC takes hold of the NIC market with the next generation 802.3 cards. How COMS keeps above 32 is anybody's guess at this point. This is bad for USRX. I don't see how the merger will be allowed to happen on the current terms when all is said and done. Take the penalty....COMS needs the cash anyway. look at it as charity, and take the deduction.
