We have a NYT paper of that Nov 63' day...The entire Times Square area was completely void of people...except for one loan policeman on his horse. It was indeed, a dark day, and dark time in America, no matter what the politics were of the time. We were first Americans, and we didn't know if it was a takeover of the Government or not. One does wonder if the same thing happened today if we would have cheering people, like those Iraqi's, on top of the cars cheering. Like some of the same ones who are so violent with their words on the anti-war sites.....
