I'm glad she chased it away. I took my kids to a park when they were really little, and I was really dumb. I gave my oldest, who was 3 at the time, a peanut so he could feed it to the squirrel and it bit him. I felt awful about it and called the health dept immediately. I was relieved to hear our state hadn't had a case of rabies from squirrels since 1948.
