I agree with your assessment of the situation. I sell options on a month to month or two month basis when I think that my stock holdings are at short term extremes. Right now, XLNX looks like it is a short term extreme brodering on 40. If it breaks through 40, I see clear sailing to 45. Then another trading range between 39-45 for two months unless sometime strange comes up. Best option selling times are during volatile times. Right now, things look ripe.
