And when Hammer comes out Intel will still have a 800 Mhz lead. The Hammer will never scale higher than the P4.
Since AMD has to rely on a PR rating and Intel owns the benchmarks, AMD still will have an uphill battle EVEN if the hammer blows away the P4. Intel will simply up the bus speed (533 Mhz) and emphasize benchmarks that use "bandwidth" especially if Clawhammer isn't "up to cache"...
If the past is any indication, AMD will fail at combating
all of Intels smoke and mirrors...they probably won't even be able to get retailer OEMs to use the PR rating because of Intel arm twisting and fear of mis-advertising lawsuit...
