The Repub Party here is dumber than a tree stump. If they run moderate Republicans, they can win, Easily. Instead, the fundies down south and in the central valley pick fundie Republicans WHO CANNOT CARRY THE LARGE URBAN AREAS THAT THEY HAVE TO HAVE TO WIN STATEWIDE! Ahnie was able to slip by because he didn't have to go through a Republican primary- -he just ran as part of the pack. All that was needed was for the recall vote to pass and the leader of that pack was guv.

But all Boxer's opponents have gone through the primary process and all have been too extreme to carry the large cities that will determine the winner. So Barbie doll keeps getting re-elected.
