Thompson Is the Deal Maker Thompson is the man. If he says it ain't so it probably aint.... There are people who actually track his movements to see what IBM will buy. He was seen at Cambridge for the Lotus deal and many folks bought the stock on the basis of his visits to the company. His presence is said to be THE leading indicator.
