Actually, I opened an account at Merrill Lynch.

Thank you for relating your experience. I am convinced that there is a large number of dissatisfied Schwab customers out there and the ones that are most likely the most dissatisfied are the active traders who generate the most revenues. I would be willing to stick with Schwab as they worked out their reliability problems if they were less arrogant to me as a customer. I will know not to DTC the stocks. I'll just move it over as cash.
