The bottom line is that, although Bush has taken us into an immensely unpopular war, the economy is in the dumper, and Democrat obstructionism is at an all-time high, he is still immensely popular; in fact, he pretty much has been popular throughout his presidency thus far. How can this be? He wasn't popular until after 9/11. Up til last week, his ratings were sinking towards 50%. There has been what I suspect is a temporary pop in his ratings due to the rally-around-the-flag phenomenom. Thanks to this president, this nation is badly divided, pitting friend against friend, family member against family member. I have said this before and I say it again........good is not likely to come out of such negativity. This will be Bush's legacy to us. ted
