I have been scared of the falling dollar for some time, yet I moved my savings out of UK pounds in September, and finally bought equal amounts of gold and silver. In UK pounds those pm buys are up 25% since then as of today. I see pm's as perhaps a volatile investment but rock solid value with much upside potential.

I'm new to the currency market, and now have a small USD sell underwater, it's doing it's hedge job though and at this point I am not going to box it as it's just about the point when things have a good chance of turning. I am tempted to sell more USD's but I can see how easily it is to slip into Nick Leeson mode barking up the wrong tree until broke.

If the USD/CAD hits 1.3 I will review things again.

I must watch the movie some time -g-

The USD/JPY looks to have had a big shock today, oh it must of been Volker telling the truth again...

Comments from former Fed Chairman Volcker triggered a wave of risk aversion that led to a technical break in the currency market. He said “we are in serious recession, with no end clearly in sight.”
