Packed, 24-7! Full bore ahead!
This is a reply I got from Hayes, my email on bottom...
Derek, No, this is just a case of the media making a big deal out of something that isn't...and perhaps reading a bit too much into it. Hayes branded products (OPTIMA, ACCURA, etc) will all be K56flex, there are no plans at the current time to do a Hayes X2 product. However, we also own Practical Peripherals. Practical will be doing a limited number of X2 products, specifically there'll be 2 SKU's, the rest of the Practical product line will also be K56flex. This combined with the fact that we are buying Cardinal, which is going to be doing X2 in all of their 56K products is what is generating the press.
At 10:58 PM 3/23/97 -0700, you wrote: I have searched all over your web site and Practical Perepherals site to find info on your support for x2 technology. I can't find anything. This is strange considering the news about Hayes offering x2 capability has been all over the industry. I'm really wondering about this, your company makes the public statements yet supplies no information on their web sites. Makes me wonder if there is any truth at all to your companies statements.
Regards, Derek Morgan
