did anyone try making these changes #reply-15372949 to 'trick the worm'?

i'd be interested in hearing if zonealarm has taken over the opening duties for vbscript files in w98 on other people's machines? i'm sure it's a result of having enabled 'mailsafe email protection' in zonealarm. i could not disassociate za from the opening duties on vbscript, and had to create a new file extension entry and follow the posted instructions to assign notepad.exe that duty. following the quick test procedure at the end of the instruction then showed notepad.exe as the default opener.

interestingly, za in win2000 had not taken over the opening chores for vbscript files.

perhaps it's a good idea to allow za to open any vbscript files that arrive via email. but for now, i'm set for notepad, as advised.

any thoughts, experiences, appreciated.

:)
