Insurance companies are FAMOUS for the problems they give policyholders (denying treatments... disputing billing... disallowing coverage by claiming 'pre-existing conditions' and such stuff.) One of the things that I'm certain is in the bills being discussed is a BAN on insurance companies denying payment because of pre-existing conditions. (And, for better or for worse... I expect that the same thing will apply in the future: if you don't like your particular insurance plan, or the way you are being treated, you have the option to switch to a different one.)
