Mr. Graham,

I have observed your hoof-in-mouth posts on this thread all day today, and refrained from making comment, until now. While I won't debate your purported credentials, I do know what my credentials are, and the very asute knowledge of analog modem technology, 56k, the PSTN, RAS vendors, and other related subject matter posessed by the regular participants on this thread.

If you would climb off of your high horse for just one moment, you might observe that there are well over sixteen thousand posts to this thread since it's humble beginning about sixteen months ago. The capablities and practical potential of 56k technology have been discussed and debated ad nauseum in this forum, and you have added nothing of value to the discussion to date. You first dubious contribution took the form of:

The benefit from 2x modems have not been proven in what can be considered a "typical" phone connection at this point in time. This modem would require an unusually clean connection that is digitized at least at one end. This is not the case for a significant amount of modem users.

Son, you are preaching to the choir. What does "proven" mean? US Robotics modems are in use by numerous SI users this very day, on "typical" phone connections. While it may require "an unusually clean connection" to operate at fully rated speed, it does not require "an unusually clean connection" to operate at vastly improved speeds for most dialup analog users. As far as being digital at one end, the overwhelming percentage of calls into Internet Service Providers terminate at a digital connection to the CO, which is what makes 56k a viable technology inasmuch as it is the normal connection by most users.

One note to the sys admin I am sure you realize will remove you.

Right now, my finger is on the return key for a note to the sys admin. I am sure you have found people removed here in the past.

I refrained from comment earlier, but those statements are unwarranted and very presumtuous on your part, and warrant a response. Do you not find it odd that on your first day of posting to this thread, you have managed to run afoul of Ms. Shell, a frequent contributor of valuable and timely market and options trading information; Mr. Blakeslee, a certified network engineer and frequent contributor of fundamental technical information; Mr. Scrapps, the most prolific contributor of timely news pertinent to the subject matter of this thread; and Mr. Forrest, who has graciously shared his extensive technical analysis insight on this and other related equities?

I will be happy to show you what accountability for ones behavior is like.

That is a bold statement, and I would respectfully suggest that you heed your own words, lest I personally avail myself of the submit button with which you brashly threaten others. Of all the SI posters I've encountered deserving such action, you are the first that I have been inclined that act upon. Although I have had numerous exchanges with the principals of SI, I have never presumed to impose upon them to take overt actions against others, at least not yet. Take that it for what it's worth.
