If you bother to go through the browsers features one by one, and examine their capabilities, you
will find that IE is far superior to Nav in nearly all aspects except for pure vanilla HTML
rendering. It is far more flexible as well.


And if this were not true, do you think that MSFT's quick gain of marketshare would not be occurring? Yes, it might be not quite as quick, but I believe that most of the gains are the result of MSFT illegally leveraging their monopoly, not as a result of any technical superiority. All I and many others on this thread are advocating is that MSFT not be allowed to illegally leverage their marketshare to win. If their product is indeed technologically superior and remains so, then they'll win anyways. As it is, they can already legally leverage other advantages they have such as their long experience, sales channels, brand name, etc.
