Let's see. So if I forge a memo that purportedly comes from Dan Rather to John Kerry and says "Dear John, sorry the forged memo trick didn't work, do you have anything else your campaign wants me to try out to see whether we can't hurt Bush" it would be legitimate and you would not challenge it as invalid because it only proves what is already well known in insider circles.
