NEWS - ExxonMobil Corporation (XOM) - Forced to halt LNG project in Papua New Guinea due to dispute

ExxonMobil stops development of part of its $15.7bn LNG project in Papua New Guinea due to a new land dispute.
Exxon stopped the work after locals demanded additional compensation for their land and threatened workers at the
plant. The LNG project is a joint venture between ExxonMobil, Oil Search, Santos, JX Holdings, and the Papua New
Guinea government.
