I assume you mean the Tripp tapes are wiretaps. Those "wiretaps" were not made by the state. They were made by an individual and presented to the prosecutor . They could not be ignored. As has been posted many times on this thread in the past, the issue here is not the sex. The real issues are perjury and obstruction of justice. Your post seems to indicate that you feel it is appropriate for the highest official in the executive branch to perjure himself and obstruct justice. That's what is under investigation. You should wait until you see the content of Starr's report and see the evidence before you get up on your high moral horse denouncing knee jerk "conservatism". By the way, how would you feel if Monica was your daughter? JLA
