Lindy, you have obviously failed to comprehend what I have ranted for ages. I am all in favour of a reconstituted United Nations. Which is not the same thing as saying I'm in favour of the existing rules.

To help you understand my point, think of me as a melanin-rich slave picking cotton who is all in favour of a new constitution for the USA which involves less lynching and more voting, not to mention a market rate of pay and self-determination.

I know my super-sophisticated ideas are very out-there and tough to understand. But thinking of Earth as NOT flat and NOT the centre of the universe was a stretch for a few centuries. Gradually, after a few inquisitions, burnings at the stake and general cruelty, the idea took hold and blow me down if there aren't satellites flying around our planet, beaming cyberspace to us anywhere. That would make the Luddites gape!

Probably not in your lifetime, but it's obvious that the current dog eat dog 19th century rules of cohabitation are not conducive to a peaceful life. Imagine what could be achieved if the world's military budgets were converted to ploughshares. The USA would be by far the biggest beneficiary of such an achievement.
