<< Q's options happen to be in the Jan,/April/July/Oct. cycle, therefore there are no Nov's. >>

More wrong information from The Great One.

Most folks who follow listed options know that for an option in Cycle 1 (Jan, Apr etc.) the November series is opened as soon as the Septembers expire.

To state it more accurately: For exchange-listed stock options, there will always be 4 active series: the current month, the next month, and the next 2 available months arising from the basic cycle .

For a stock in the January cycle, there are now available Oct (current month), November (next month) Jan, and April (next 2 available months in the basic cycle).

On the Monday after October expiration, they will open for QCOM the Dec. They will then have available the Nov, Dec, Jan, and Apr.

Always glad to correct misinformation when I can.
