| B/E Aerospace Awarded Additional Seating Programs for Boeing Business Jets WELLINGTON, Fla., Oct 2, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- B/E Aerospace, Inc. (Nasdaq: BEAV chart, msgs) today announced that it has been selected to provide a substantial number of passenger seats for Boeing Business Jets, and has already begun to ship seats for another program involving up to 30 Boeing Business Jets.

 DELIVERIES TO LUFTHANSA TECHNIK BEGIN

B/E has begun delivering seats for a program which Lufthansa Technik has characterized as the largest business jet completion order in its history. Under the program, which B/E and Lufthansa Technik announced last year, Lufthansa will equip up to 30 Boeing Business Jets, including options, for a major customer's fractional ownership program.

B/E products on board the aircraft include seats with track and swivel capability, enabling the seats to move forward, backwards or laterally, as well as 3-seat L-shaped divans. All are certified under 16G dynamic testing requirements, and are being upholstered by B/E.

 NEW SEATING PROGRAM AWARDS

Separately, B/E announced that it has been selected to provide almost 90 passenger seats, divans and a queen-sized bed for use on board Boeing Business Jets. B/E product deliveries are scheduled to be complete by the end of this year. Many of the seats will be fully-upholstered, featuring track and swivel capability, recliner leg rests and in-arm tray tables with wood veneer finish. The divan converts to a bed for sleeping, and the custom bed features include tracking capability and under-bed storage.

Other seats covered by the award feature four-way adjustable head rests, a recliner leg rest, in-seat PC power, and in-arm video. All seats involved in the program meet 16G dynamic testing and certification requirements.

Associated Air Center and Ozark Aircraft Systems selected B/E to provide the seats, citing the company's ability to provide fully upholstered, premium products with a short lead time and its single-source supplier capability.
