I will have to take my boat to the mechanic for the third time in as many months. There is a problem with the motor, and they have a hard time fixing it. And - that motor is quite primitive when compared with a human mind. I have a friend who is a Psychiatrist and quite an expert in psychopharmacology. I saw him many times being happy - excited even - when he was able to find the right combination of meds for a particularly difficult patient. It's not an easy game, and no amount of monitoring and regulation will make it less difficult. Using antibiotics helps breed dangerous resistant bacteria -- but no one is advocating that we should stop treating infections.
