I doubt CC will try to contain the price, the dam has burst and no way can they short into the flood of new demand.

They are much better off going long at his point. This means they probably won't covert anything though. They may just wait until expiration. Other than for converting their short position, I would think that if they converted and sold shared it would be a negative sign since it would imply that they think the stock price has peaked.
