I agree Jeff. However after following many hundreds of BB and threads on many sites, for 4-5 years, at least for me, there is a feeling that develops fron the idea exchange. The Shorts trash a stock, and the longs find all kinds of reasons to "wish" a stock up. Investing is a very complex game and I dont know if I will ever be in the big leagues. However, using sound fundaments and ther strategies, i.e. Point and Figure, The Dow Theory, CANSLIM, Index fund stratiges, or bottom fishing, we sometimes can make a buck.
I am retired and this is the greatest Monoply game I have ever played. Of course I don't invest what I cant affoard to loose. The Idea exchange has been excellent, even when I don't agree with the imfo at all. This is what America is all about.
Even, Jim Cramer was on the Motley Fool for several months and he thought the postings were too nice and polite to each other.... I have seen it both ways and NEVER make an investing decision based on what some one says on a BB...
