I think Netscape giving away the source code is a great idea! Now people can inprove the
software--which Netscape can then incorporate into the product.

This could serve to quickly accelerate their product development.

Yep. The press is slow to pick up on the implications. C/Net and InfoWorld are the only two so far that have gone beyond a simple one-sentence statement that most of the press has, something to the effect of: "Oh, and BTW, they are including source code."
