So you'd be willing to concern yourself with a catastrophic trendline only once you have made that trendline even worse?

Would you not at least consider dealing with the two problems concurrently?

BTW, just so I know what you're talking about, who is rich and how much should they pay?

(For the purpose of Medicare, I am considered rich. I would find that really funny were it not so expensive.)
