Interesting report. Sounds like it was written by an accounting weenie (no offense, Clam Clam). I think he underestimates the magnitude of effort required to integrate the apps. And he also seems to discount the distinct possibility that Scopus prospects in the pipeline are going to want to see a clear migration path (e.g. if we invest in a UNIX architecture now does this mean we'll have to buy NT boxes later?). This will translate into a longer sales cycle and/or increased discounting and/or an opportunity for Vantive and Clarify to create FUD. SEBL/SCOP revenues post-merger will not necessarily equal the sum of projected revenues now. The other interesting point was that he thinks $206M total revenues approximates 55% of the market. This means that the total market size is approximately $375M. Wonder what his definition of 'market' is? Sounds like SEBL/SCOP/VNTV/CLFY if my math is right.
