    It is ... altogether too clear that the Times story 
    itself involved an epidemic of lawbreaking among current 
    and former government officials. Here is a scandal hiding 
    in plain sight, though it is not a scandal that the Times 
    chooses to report. Who will blow the whistle and demand 
    that the malefactors be brought to account?
