Taylor Rigs, LLC, a subsidiary of the company, has secured a purchase order from Radiant U.S. for the manufacture of a large series 900 drilling rig at a contract price of approximately $1.4-million (Canadian). An initial non-refundable deposit has been received, with the remainder of a 50 per cent deposit due over the next five months.
Management of Taylor Rigs has experienced a renewed interest from prospective purchasers in its rigs arising from the recent firmness in oil prices. Management has confirmed that it is involved in serious negotiations with a number of such purchasers for the production of Taylor rigs and carriers.
