I don't know if there's accurate data on ASPs that extend through the entire cycle. As you said, Amazon asking a certain price isn't the same as people paying that. You might look at eBay "sold" transactions to get the best gauge of what the true market price is for any given model. I know that from my experience, I acquired some S4s (new, unlocked) for under $400. I'm not sure if you can do the same for a new iPhone 5.

In any case, it's not the most critical topic. The gap, even if you disagree with the Gazelle CEO, has narrowed if not closed. The waterproofing has no downside, and I suspect you agree it's a nice feature that can only add to resale value. I'd like to see every phone eventually made this way. I have a feeling Apple will follow suit, as they should.
