Here's something interesting... this article just refreshed on Yahoo! finance, originally published 6/13/02. Don't forget the bigger companies. Intel foe Advanced Micro's stock fell on Intel's bad report. But it's plausible to argue that Advanced Micro could do well even in a down PC market, by taking market share. The company now makes microprocessors that perform as well as, or better, than Intel's best, but it sells them at a much lower price. In a struggling economy, PC manufacturers and PC customers might not care so much whether they've got Intel inside. This article was written after the INTC warn, but before the AMD warn... it's interesting the slant that was put on this before the AMD warn, and it's interesting to see how inaccurate the insinuation was...
