Re silver:

Often the mining shares lead the metal -- if we followed that rule -- the price of silver would be in for a serious clubbing come Monday.

Statistically, this is reliable enough that one could form a trading strategy for the metals from it and win at least seven or eight times out of ten ... but ... could it be different this time?

Color me surprised that the spot price held $24 today.
