3:18PM TWP on EMS Companies : CNBC mentions that EMS stocks are getting hit today due to a cautious Thomas Weisel note on the group. CLS (-4.0%) should report an in-line Dec qtr, and NEC deal should be neutral to FY02 EPS and add $0.05-$0.07 to FY03; FLEX (-4.2%) should meet Dec est, but should guide lower to sequential decline in March qtr due to end mkt weakness (particularly in cell phones); SANM (-7.4%) may see modest sequential decline in revs, but firm expects increasing profitability throughout CY02.
