if the american people had not gotten rid of the peanut farmer we might all be speaking russian now....... under jimmy carter, military readiness didn't exist. the military did not have mechanics to work on the tanks and helicopters and the mechanics that the military had, did not have the spare parts to repair the tanks or aircraft. yes, it was Ronald Reagan who basically saved us all....
