I have been waiting for years for some poor schmuck to ask Bob about when his last confirmable sell announcment was given. I would like to hear from some one who was subscribing to Marketimer during the market crash of 87. I have heard Bob talk to listners about the validity of the timing model and sometimes he gets very, very defensive. Even to the point of demening and raking the listner over the coals. I have been contemplating for a while about the impatience of Bob's attitude towards callers on the radio. It seems over time he has been more and more combative to unsuspecting callers. I believe he will move off the air either at the next market decline or just in a couple of years. The way he sounds and talks about his investments plus the cash flow from the markettimer he should be near critical mass. I even heard his talking recently about possibly owning a airplane and flying. It will be interesting to see how long he lasts on the air, and how close his timing model comes to predicting the next bear market (according to him 20%) or more. I am also of the contention that the more time spent out of the market rather than being in the market incurs huge missed opportunities over the long term not the short term.
