Well, there is the added leverage of the warrants. So long as the common is well above .50, you can leverage more stock with the warrants. If the common is at $1 and the warrants at 0.50 (equilibrium), you can get two warrants or one common. If the common goes to $1.50, then eventually the warrants would go to $1. You would make twice the profit with the warrants (2 x $1=$2 v. $1.50 ) There is of course higher risk.
I think it is agreed that all the manipulation is going to be rather moot when the stock soars, so having more shares leveraged might be preferable.
