Ted Re...Someone needs to tell the Taliban. They keep killing our troops and other Afghans..
Still scaremongering I see.
Scaremongering? I don't think so. You need to read the history of the Russians in Afghanistan.
Just because there are a few rebel warlords left over, who have killed some UN workers,
Try American GIs.
doesn't mean the Taliban is winning. The simple fact is the the UN is suppose to be installing democratic local gov. in the outlying provinces, and administering aid in Afghanistan, with the help of the peace coalition members from Europe.
But Bush said we eradicated the Taliban. You are still buying into the lies, aren't you?
Little wonder France pronounces itself a loser at war. France can't keep the peace after the war is won. And Afghanistan tells us why GW should do the heavy work in Iraq, and confine the UN to some things they are good at. What if anything, I am not sure, but the UN is worthless, when it come to standing up to a threat.
The French? I don't think they are in Afghanistan.
The Russians spent billions trying to subjegate the Afghans.....and they couldn't. Its one of the many reasons why the USSR fell.
That's right.....but most countries don't go from a monarchy or autocratic gov't to a democracy in one easy step.........at least not overnite. It usually take years and then some.
Of course not. And that is why Gw will have to serve another term, to make sure the dems don't screw up the peace.
Serve another term and do more damage? I don't think so!
You're kidding yourself. I do have several clues and I don't like what I see.
Of course not. What with the imminent end of the Iraq war, and pictures of the US seen as liberators, Gw will be over 80% in the polls soon. You claim the Iraqis don't have what it takes for democracy, but democracy takes mainly self initiative, and determination. Did you see the initiative and determination those looters have, and how fast they worked. I wish my men had that much determination and initiative, when they show up for work in the morning.
The real war has just begun and this is where ole Bush has no patience. Getting control over Iraq will be a major feat.
