Randi, You got it. Nice to have ya here. Hope you decide to stick around a while. The 40k was an "old timer", Randi.......the Big Daddy Gotrocks of the list......Certed shortly, I'm sure. I'm the lucky guy who has a BANY hardcase. I ordered it from Comp USA Direct....I would have paid more if I had ordered it from BANY....as the people who are resellers offer better prices. This is understandable. BANY can't undercut their own resellers. The company sells about 15% of their cases directly to individuals through the internet site.....at list prices. A little DD on a slow night. If you want the best deal, shopping the resellers is the way to go. The box that my NB 1000 came in has very attractive pictures on it...and is 14" x 14" x 4.5"........and would be a perfect item for Comp USA retail stores. But they are not stocked in Comp USA stores. Why is that? There is not a Comp USA store near me.....but I will bet that many posters here have one in their town.....So we need some reports.....What, if any, laptop hardcase does Comp USA stock in their stores?...Other computer mega-stores? If the answer is none....then I smell money. bg
