The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 45% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Obama's job performance. Fifty-four percent (54%) disapprove ( see trends).

The latest figures include 21% who Strongly Approve of the way Obama is performing as president and 43% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -22.

Results are updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update).

Yesterday was Good Friday, the day Christians believe Jesus Christ was crucified. Most Americans continue to believe Jesus was the son of God and rose from the dead on Easter Sunday.

Thirty-seven percent (37%) of voters now fear the federal government.

Outgoing Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius trails incumbent Republican Pat Roberts by 17 points - 54% to 37% - in a hypothetical U.S. Senate race in Kansas.

Despite the president’s continuing complaints about what women are paid, 60% of voters believe the U.S. economy is fair to women.

Seventy-five percent (75%) of Americans are worried about inflation, and 72% expect the amount they spend for groceries to be higher a year from now.

Just 50% are even somewhat confident in the nation’s banks, and that includes only 10% who are Very Confident. In July 2008, prior to the Wall Street meltdown, 68% were confident in the U.S. banking system.
