Hi, penni. Sorry if it sounded like I insulted your kitties' mental prowess. I don't think it is an insult not to be MENSA material. I used to print the New Orleans MENSA newsletter, well, my boyfriend did, and boy, it was dumb. Really. I could have joined, but didn't because everyone I know who ever tried it said it was just a bunch of losers sitting around talking about how smart they were. So your kitties would not have liked it, unless they are indiscriminate about whose legs they climb.
I had to laugh at your description of family dinner, we seem to take ours out to eat a lot. When I cook, or my husband cooks, we tend to retreat into the living room, and let the boys fight at the dinner table unsupervised. I prefer to have "family time" one-on-one, it seems more productive. I know I am a coward.
Reading about your bread machine reminds me, they want me to teach them to make bread, and they want me to teach them to make chocolate chip cookies. So, maybe I will get inspired, and let them make their own bread for supper tonight, and maybe they will actually eat it together in peace. I'll let you know. |
